Buenos Aires, January 25 (NA) -- A woman wanted for selling construction materials on social networks and disappearing after receiving an advance payment on purchases was arrested in recent hours by officers from the Buenos Aires City Police during a procedure carried out in the Buenos Aires town of Ituzaingó. Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the operation was carried out by personnel from the Captures and Fugitives Division, who arrested a 43-year-old woman on the street at Zattino 2700. The investigation began in February 2025, but the event under investigation occurred when the accused, using a false name, offered construction materials at very low prices through the Marketplace site. Once she contacted the client, she would ensure that they bought large quantities of materials, claiming the price was for a limited time, and after receiving money transfers, she would disappear from the networks and delete the profiles. With the complaint filed, an exhaustive investigation was carried out that made it possible to identify the woman and her partner, who after living in Córdoba recently moved to Ituzaingó, where she was finally arrested. The man, for his part, was notified of the case but was released. The measures were ordered by the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 34, in charge of Laura Bruniard, with the intervention of Secretariat No. 117 of Verónica De Rosa.
